Ledgerline

The brief

I'd been freelance bookkeeping for six years and kept hitting the same walls in QuickBooks. I wanted a tool built for one-person practices, not for accounting firms.

The build

1. Mon

   Kickoff. Locked feature list to: client roster, invoices, monthly close.

2. Tue

   Auth, schema (clients, ledgers, entries, reconciliations), preview deploy.

3. Wed

   Core flow: add client → import bank CSV → categorize → generate invoice.

4. Thu

   Stripe billing, dashboard polish, mobile sweep, OG images.

5. Fri

   Production deploy on ledgerline.io, SSL, sitemap, repo handover.
